Work Days and Expected Hours:

Monday - Friday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

(Additional hours as necessary to meet the objectives of the department)

Function: Perform duties in a lead role as a Team Leader in the Loan Records Department

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility for daily functions within a Loan Records unit for efficient and effective operation by:

    • Prioritizing work received in unit and assigning to staff to meet deadlines and prevent backlogs

    • Monitoring and assisting staff in completing their job duties

    • Providing system or loan training to staff

    • Developing and updating of written procedures and workflow

    • Ensuring prescribed operating policies and procedures are followed. Making recommendations regarding improved operating procedures and overseeing the implementation of approved changes.

    • Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of regulations impacting loan records (ex. flood insurance)

    • Verification of flood & hazard insurance calculations and review of lender placed letters

    • Review of document exception and collateral reports for accuracy and resolution of discrepancies

    • Monitor paid loans in GL Specials account for timely payment to borrowers

    • Update of mortgage satisfaction fee list, verification of prepayment fees, and signing paid loan documents and loan records checks

    • Perform employee coaching and complete job performance evaluations

    • Set-up cross-training and rotation work schedules

    • Perform daily functions of your assigned unit:

      • Document review of new or modified commercial, business banking, and consumer loans

      • Consumer and commercial loan file setup and tickling of document or collateral exceptions

      • Collateral tracking to ensure proper renewal of perfections, holds, and encumbrances

      • Research and resolution of exception inquiries

      • Hazard and Flood collateral insurance tracking including lender placed insurance

      • Consumer and Commercial paid loan processing

  • Assist internal and external customers with special research requests and resolution of problems

  • Foster a culture of high morale, trust, accountability, and respect among employees through constant engagement and requests for feedback. Hold regular huddles/meetings and maintain open communication channels in support of an informed and empowered work group

  • Assist in the research and response to findings for audits and compliance reviews.

  • Assist with collateral and loan file conversions and evaluate changes in workflow or workload due to merger, acquisitions, divestiture of institutions, branches, or accounts.

  • Maintains an effective working relationship with all bank employees. Demonstrates the ability to work independently. Works as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn the organization.

  • Assumes additional duties as required

Physical Demands

Operates a keypad device or office equipment: 85% of the day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18"-20" for computer workSitting is required 85% of the day in a straight position. Walking is required 5% of the day which is slow is speed. Routinely lifts 10 lbs. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Education

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent basic academic education.

Experience

Five to ten years of general business experience required, plus two to five years of specialized loan experience.

Salary Range:

$16.23 - $28.85
