Summary of Position:

Account Director - MUST BE BASED ON THE EAST COAST...

In this critical leadership role, the Account Director leads the account and owns senior client relationships. You are expected to have a full understanding of the client's business landscape, challenges and objectives so they can operate as a strong strategic partner. They have a thorough understanding of marketing principles, extensive knowledge of experiential marketing and know client service best practices that can be applied across varying client industries and portfolios. This role is inherently collaborative and will require the selected candidate to work across departments - Account, Creative and Production - to deliver best-in-class client service and client programming. The Account Director continuously looks for opportunities that drive strategic and organic growth for our clients while generating revenue and protecting margins for the organization.

This role will report directly to Head of Client Services.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Client Counsel & Leadership:
* Nurture senior-level client relationships for key accounts, streamlining internal and external client communication throughout the campaign/project management process
* Develop and deepen client relationships and grow key accounts

Account Growth & Brand Strategy:
* Guide and counsel leading brands within the CMG portfolio, with the primary focus on growing account business and associated revenue for the agency.
* Oversee development and delivery of creative ideas that meet client objectives using a wide arsenal of experiential tactics including live events, social media, emerging technology, and strategic partnerships.
* Work with new business team and strategy teams to respond to RFPs and proactively identify ways to further engage and grow assigned accounts
* Participate in RFP brainstorms, offering creative ideas and approaches towards client requests and needs
* Demonstrate confidence and partnership with clients, IAT partners, and internal stake holders (creative, strategy, etc.) that always exceeds client expectations and continually raises the bar
* Lead the development of inspired briefs, strategic plans, presentations and/or program documents
* Write and present strong, insightful and polished presentations and/or program documents and reports to clients

Team Leadership & Mentorship:
* Mentor, supervise, train, and lead assigned account teams to success, ensuring talents and resources are both maximized and nurtured.
* Supervise and monitor assigned account team's day-to-day activities internal/external weekly updates on project development and management, client meeting preparation, etc.
* Consistently motivate internal teams and actively promote innovation, new thinking, and advancement of skills

Additional Job Responsibilities:
* Develop weekly and monthly reporting mechanisms for tracking growth progress of assigned teams and accounts
* Establish cross-functional relationships with department counterparts and assist in overseeing the health of cross-department activities, relationships, processes, and workflow

QUALIFICATIONS:
* MUST be based on the East Coast/Eastern time zone
* 10+ years marketing, client service, team management and agency experience
* Bachelor's degree in marketing and/or equivalent experience in related field
* Excellent interpersonal skills - experience in client management is a necessity
* Ability to develop and sustain strong working relationships with multiple clients & internal teams
* Proficiency in project management and proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
* Proven experience and ability to effectively present marketing campaign concepts and ideas to an audience
* Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills based in agency, client and industry knowledge
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills
* Strong management skills; prior internal staff management
* Experience working with large consumer brands
* Willing and able to work nonstandard work hours, weekends and travel as required
* Spirits Industry experience preferred
