Sr. Staff Verification Engineers

Job Description
Sr. Staff Verification Engineers with Rivian Automotive, LLC in Irvine, CA. Work with the SoC Architecture team as well as the Microarchitecture/RTL and Emulation teams to define a verification strategy at the Full-chip, Module, and Chiplet levels. Responsible for working on the verification plan and working with the respective teams and verification engineers to drive it to completion and ensure a high quality first-pass silicon that can go into production. Contribute to the overall SoC test approach and test plan, including coverage metrics. Propose an efficient, reusable, and extensible verification methodology and architecture utilizing industry best practices and tools. Document the test plan and review it with the right stakeholders. Develop flows and methodologies for automation, regression, extracting, and publishing coverage metrics. Drive the overall verification plan implementation and participate hands-on in the verification infrastructure development. Work closely with the emulation and firmware teams to ensure maximum leverage and synergy across the verification, emulation and silicon bring up efforts. Define and project compute requirements and propose a cost-effective approach for computing and licensing through the various phases of the project. Participate in the chip bring up and debugging. Responsible for coverage signoff for tape-out. This is a telework opportunity.
RQMTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a closely related field and 5 years of experience in any occupation as design engineer, verification engineer, staff engineer, or related. Experience must include defining, architecting, ad implementing verification plans on complex high performance SoC; utilizing UVM for verification; working with EDA tools VCS, NCSim, and QuestaSim; programming with Perl and Tcl; and working with tool Jasper.
