We have an opportunity for a User Experience (UX) Manager to join our Pool Business Unit (BU) Marketing team in Cary, NC. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Customer Experience & Digital Marketing, you will own design for key digital properties, such as the website & Pentair applications, as well as guide other team members to build engaging and focused experiences across our digital platforms. This highly visible role will directly impact our digital evolution and organizational development. We are looking for a player-coach who is comfortable with some hands-on design as well as mentoring and providing leadership to other designers.

You will:

  • Collaborate with product managers, user researchers, stakeholders, and other team members to guide product vision and roadmap for Pentair digital platforms, such as the Pentair Home App and the website.
  • Manage the user experience (UX) design team, both in the U.S. and abroad, with clear expectations.
  • Guide the design team to bring a strategic product and customer-focused mindset, as well as business needs and goals, into design work.
  • Clearly communicate a shared narrative and vision for the Pentair design system across the company.
  • Operate across projects, balancing product vision and iterative, timely execution.
  • Break down open-ended opportunities into actionable next steps and oversee quality and consistency across different teams & platforms.
  • Travel up to 10%, including international, for group collaboration.

Key Qualifications:

  • Have earned a Bachelor's (B.A. or B.S.) degree.
  • Have 5-8 years' experience in digital application and/or website design with at least 2 years leading programs or teams.
  • Significant experience with Figma.
  • Experience designing and creating mobile applications and websites for both iOS and Android.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including experience leading cross-cultural global team members.
  • Deep understanding of UX research practices and how to bring user insights into design solutions as well as a strong balance of both visual and user experience design skills.
