General Summary/Overview:

The Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound examinations for the cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to assist the physician in the diagnosis of disorders affecting circulation.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

* Perform echocardiograms as directed by clinicians and following the daily schedule.

* Provide explanation and guidance as appropriate to patients and caregivers allowing a high success and patient compliance.

* Observe all protocols and documentation as directed by cardiologists and IAC.

* Maintain all echo equipment keeping exam rooms free of clutter and observing all cleaning and sanitation of supplies and echo department.

* Attend all meetings as requested by DOAS and clinicians.

* Maintain patient confidentiality and HPI as required.

Hours

32 Hours per week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday - Haverhill

Tuesdays- Lawrence

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Successful completion of the national exam given by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience as an ultrasound technician.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
