Job Description
Wagner Logistics, a Top 50 Third Party Logistics company providing supply chain services including distribution center management, warehousing, transportation, order fulfillment, product assembly, and packaging is seeking a Warehouse Customer Service Representative to process orders, schedule appointments, and answer inquiries at the warehouses Lake City Army Ammunition Plant on MO 78 Hwy in Independence, MO. This position will work Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm.

As a CSR, you will enjoy working in a positive culture and talented co-workers and will report to the Supervisor. You will carry out all customer service activities such as responding to inquiries, processing orders, and handling complaints in a prompt, courteous and effective manner. Other responsibilities will include data entry, phone duties, greeting visitors and other clerical duties as directed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Input data into the Warehouse Management applications (RAMP)
  • Process and input customer orders
  • Create outbound orders
  • Check inventory for product availability
  • Generate all related paperwork and necessary information for customer orders and check orders for special requests.
  • Coordinate special or last-minute shipping requests with the appropriate operations personnel
  • Enter inbound receipts. Prepare customer invoices, accurately and timely
  • Maintain damage records
  • Handle returned merchandise record keeping
  • Answer phone calls and emails in a professional, business-like manner
  • Operate computers and various office machines necessary to perform duties
  • Oversee all paperwork associated with orders and maintain files
  • Prepare and maintain reports as directed by management
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized office area
  • Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with the customer and other employees by responding to all inquiries and complaints concerning work orders, invoices, shipments, inventory counts, etc. in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Report customer feedback to management including any signs of customer dissatisfaction
QUALIFICATIONS:
Citizenship - Must be a United States Citizen.
Criminal Background and Pre-Employment Drug Test - Clean criminal history and pass drug test is mandatory.
Education: High School diploma or GED required. Some college is a plus.
Experience: At least one year of customer service experience in a warehousing, transportation or 3PL operations office including telephone, data entry, and customer service duties is required.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Self-starter that demonstrates initiative and follow-thru required.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematics, read and speak English and write legibly.
  • Good keyboard skills and data entry experience.
  • Great people skills and ability to work with people from different backgrounds and levels.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Ability to pass a drug test, criminal background and e-Verify required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Ability to stand, sit, squat, bend, twist, reach and/or kneel for up to 12-hour periods of time and repetitively
  • Exposure to varying temperatures: heat, cold, wet, damp, drafty
  • Work on concrete and unlevel surfaces
  • May be required to climb ladders and stairs
  • Work around hazardous materials and may be exposed to carcinogens, toxic, and explosive materials
  • Possible exposure to areas with high noise levels that may require hearing protection
  • Use hands and fingers to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights
  • Utilize muscles to lift, push, pull or carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds
