Receives records, unpacks, and examines incoming goods and verifies completeness of shipments. Packs and ships outgoing merchandise and keeps records of shipments. Maintains records for various customers. Transports materials to designated areas as assigned.

• Monitors daily production ship dates to anticipate the daily and weekly shipping requirements.
• Maintains necessary files and records related to the shipping and receiving functions.
• Prepares shipping documents, bills of lading, and bar codes.
• Schedules outbound freight per customer requirements, using customer specific portals.
• Audits freight bills, processes freight claims and expedites requests for traceability.
• Completes all daily receipts of incoming material, supplies, and equipment. Checks goods received against bills of lading, purchase orders or receiving papers.
• Loads and unloads trucks as needed.
• Operates forklifts, electrical hoists or other power driven equipment to load or move materials.
• May locate and arrange for flow of materials, fixtures and finished components to ensure uninterrupted flow of production by supplying production area with needed materials from inventory.
• Takes inventory as directed.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED, HSED)
• Six months to one year shipping and receiving experience, preferred
• Requires good oral and written communication skills.
• Requires a general knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Requires attention to detail and accuracy skills.
• Experience or training in the use of ERP systems preferred.
• Operating a hand truck, forklift, electrical hoists or other power driven equipment to load or move materials preferred.

• Completion of TMS Quality System ISO Procedures
• Completion of TMS Department ISO Procedures
• Completion of TMS Forklift Training
