Position Description

We are currently recruiting to fill a Product Development Engineer position at our global headquarters location in Racine, Wisconsin. This role is responsible for activities involved in the design, development, and test of new technology platforms for the group. You will be working closely with other engineers and technicians to apply these technologies to develop new products. Areas of interest are the development of refrigerant-based packaged heating systems and alternative fuel in gas-fired applications. This opportunity will be a full-time, salaried position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete projects and tasks related to various engineering activities and support Product/Design Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers with:
  • Product Development
  • CAD Modeling
  • Product Launch
  • Specifications and Process Documentation
  • Engineering Calculations
  • Testing and certification to applicable safety and performance standards
  • Product troubleshooting
Required Education & Qualifications
  • B.S. degree from accredited university
  • Preferred 10+ years of experience with developing HVAC equipment (refrigerant systems/products)
  • Working knowledge of UL/CSA requirements, engineering/manufacturing change processes, vapor compression, natural refrigerants, and heat transfer principles
  • Possess strong engineering and analytical skills to make data-driven decisions based on testing and simulation output
  • Basic solid modeling and drawing skill set (using commercial CAD package, e.g. Solid Edge)
  • Basic understanding of engineering drawings and mechanical systems
  • Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
  • Dedicated to quality and safety
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
