Who is GA Precision?

What does the job involve?

Under minimum supervision, performs tasks of substantial variety and/or complexity which require a knowledge of inspection techniques, tools, materials, and equipment, including electronic and/or mechanical measuring instruments.

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Inspects parts, products, and/or processes to ensure conformance with Prints and quality requirements.
  • Prepare documentation to customer and internal quality requirements
  • Verifies specified dimensions of parts or material using manual or electronic inspection equipment.
  • Program, operate, and troubleshoot Zeiss Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve inaccuracy problems using programmable inspection equipment.
  • Program and operate the programmable surface finish and form test machines.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.

What qualifications should I have?

  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work and adapt in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with, and ability to use, measuring devices, properly interpret readings & operate a computer, Surface finish & form test machines, and optical comparator.
  • Ability to Program, operate, and troubleshoot Zeiss CMMs while having programming knowledge of Calypso software.
  • Requires ability to read and interpret blueprints. Knowledge of GD&T is required.
  • Ability to interpret technical and quality documents, troubleshoot and problem solve quality issues. Ability to read and interpret customer specifications.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to stand and use hands to handle or touch objects, tools or controls. Occasionally required to sit; reach above shoulders; climb or balance; stoop, or kneel.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Benefits are effective the first of the month after your date of hire. You will earn 10 vacation days (80 hours) annually. Your vacation will be prorated and accrue 1.54 hours per week.

This offer is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening, physical exam, as well as proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.
