As part of our Project Management team for our Catalyst operations group you will be responsible for translating the customer or business needs into improvement opportunities within his/her scope of responsibilities. You will drive (continuous) improvement projects by applying Lean Sigma tools either by leading projects self or by providing support as part of a project team. This role also provides support to the functional leader in developing the roadmap for the year plan.


Responsibilities

  • Identify, initiate, and execute Lean Six Sigma projects by building and leading project teams while ensuring projects tie to and meet key business objectives
  • Provide regular updates on area of responsibility including project progress and accurate benefit reporting to functional leader as well as MBB/Operational Excellence leader.
  • Support management on all levels to comply with ESHA standards.
  • Your key success factors include strong communication and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to listen and learn.
  • You will also assist in the training and development of site yellow belt resources and promotion of Lean Six Sigma within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science, Engineering, or similar field of study. Master of Science preferred but not required
  • You should have project management skills with proven experience in leading small teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and change management experience. 3 - 5 years functional experience is preferred.
  • Experience with engineering and operations within a chemical manufacturing environment would be a major plus.
  • Black Belt Certification preferred but not required.
  • You should have the ability to adjust to adapt to changes in a positive and receptive manner.
  • Having the ability to motivate and impact change indirectly throughout the organization would be an asset.
  • Ability to work well in cross functional teams.
