Heritage Oaks Hospital is a freestanding, 125-bed acute psychiatric hospital dedicated to serving the greater Sacramento area. We provide treatment to teens, adults and seniors living with mental health challenges.

We are currently looking for a per diem pharmacy technician to join our team! In this role, under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist or Consulting Pharmacist and within all regulatory rules governing pharmaceutical services, provides for complete pharmaceutical services to the facility.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Pharmacy Technician, under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist or Consulting Pharmacist and within all regulatory rules governing pharmaceutical services, provides for complete pharmaceutical services to the facility. Duties include, but not limited to, filling the automated dispensing units, pharmacy inventory management, and collecting patients' medication histories.

Schedule is Tuesday & Thusday starting at 7:00am

Education: High school diploma

Experience: Pharmacy experience preferred

Licensure: Currently licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in California.

Additional Requirements: Candidate must display compassion and have a strong desire to help patients. Candidate must be able to work independently and in collaboration with peers. Strong communication skills are required and candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Candidate may be required to work holidays on a rotating basis.
