Job Title: Quality Engineer
Job Location: Louisville, KY
Hourly Rate: Up to $44.58/hr depending on experience.
Work Schedule: 9/80 work week - off every other Friday!

Summary:
  • Come join our team! We currently have an exciting possible Temp-to-Perm opportunity in Louisville, KY for a Quality Engineer with a working knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 standards and familiarity with FAR/DFAR requirements.
Job Description:
  • Seeking a quality professional to fill an immediate opening for a Quality Engineer in the Louisville, Kentucky location.
  • In this role as a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting several products within a given program area/market segment.
  • You will work in an Integrated Project Team environment and will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of quality for the team.
  • Provide oversight of all aspects of product quality relating to assigned programs including inspection methods, data collection, data analysis, non-conforming material dispositions, and product/process quality assurance.
  • Investigate and produce corrective actions meeting on-time submittal and acceptable quality standards for root cause analysis and preventative action effectiveness.
  • Ensure on-time implementation of corrective actions and verification of preventative action effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and lead Material Review Board activities.
  • Gather and report results from weekly and monthly quality metrics for all assigned programs.
  • Perform continuous improvement activities to improve departmental and/or program capability in areas of inspection, cost of quality, quantitative process control or general process efficiency.
  • Interface with DCMA, ISEA and other customer representatives as required.
Required:
  • Experience operating in an organization with government quality oversight.
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFAR requirements.
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 standards.
  • Current or ability to obtain security clearance.
  • Experience with Lean and process improvement tools/methods.
  • Experience with Six Sigma, SPC techniques and PFMEA.
  • Quality experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strength in planning and time management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
  • Experienced using measurement equipment such as Faro, Leica or similar laser inspection equipment and offline programming using PCDMIS CAD or Spatial Analyzer software is a plus, but not required.
Education:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical degree, and two (2) years related Quality Assurance experience, (or) the overall equivalent experience.
