WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Concierge position is a highly visible role, serving as the first point of contact for all clients and visitors to BCG Austin. Under daily supervision, the Concierge performs multiple tasks including, but not limited to: Acting as first point of contact for guests and local office staff, maintaining the general appearance of local office and office equipment, stocking and maintaining kitchens and all common areas, fulfilling meeting/event and print job requests, supporting local office affiliation, assisting with building services requests and performing other tasks as necessary.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated team player, excited about creating and cultivating office culture and experience, focused on providing timely and efficient customer service support to internal stakeholders and visitors.
This is a Monday-Friday in office role (Hours: 7:45a - 4:15p with 30 minute lunch or 7:45a - 4:45p with hour lunch)
Responsibilities will include:
  • Greet and direct visitors to destination in a professional and courteous manner and offer amenities (i.e. water, restroom)
  • Handle guests' individual needs during their stay, including office assignments and other administrative requests as necessary
  • Regularly monitor concierge distribution list emails and process requests for guest space, conference room reservations, and visitor access (including communicating with building security for access)
  • Manage catering support for meetings and the weekly Friday catering
  • Maintain general cleanliness of the Reception/Cafe areas on a daily basis along with the office as a whole, including starting/emptying dishwashers, rinsing dishes, wiping down microwave, refrigerator, and other appliances (espresso machine, etc) as needed
  • Replenish snacks and drinks throughout the day
  • Assist with basic IT requests (i.e. guest Wi-Fi login details)
  • Communicate regularly with other Office Experience team members to help with facilities projects, office space management, submit work orders, track repairs, track Certificates of Insurance for vendors, and needs around the office
  • Create employee access badges, liaise with building security to ensure seamless entry into the building and office; audit regularly to ensure compliance with BCG security protocols
  • Work closely with Events Team to maintain office meeting and events calendar
  • Support functional groups (i.e. Consultant Recruiting) with large scale events including room management
  • Special projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
  • Openness and receptiveness to meeting new people - culturally sensitive and have a passion for making guests and colleagues feel at home and welcome with a sense of pride
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree strongly preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum 1-3 years of administrative support, or customer service experience, in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work overtime as necessary
  • Proficient computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Graph, Outlook, and Internet Explorer - willingness to learn new systems is relevant to the needs of the operation
  • Hospitality experience preferred. If no direct experience, an importance towards and demonstration of anticipating needs and providing efficient and flawless service

YOU'LL WORK WITH
You will work closely with the Office Experience team to provide support to our business services, consulting staff, and visitors to BCG's office.
