ROLE OVERVIEW:

Beiersdorf's Commercial Excellence function focuses on process development, optimization, and accountability in areas like communications, cross functional collaboration, consistency of deliverables, and organizational integration. The Senior Manager of Commercial Excellence researches, analyses, and recommends changes to the organization's business processes to improve operational efficiencies, quality, service, and profitability.

This role will report into the Director of Commercial Excellence. The role has a hybrid working model and is expected to work in our Stamford, CT office 3 days per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify business critical processes in need of optimization (or in need of creation) and lead work to optimize/create.
  • Establish and drive adoption of best-in-class Sales communication approach (inclusive of cadence, medium, and content)
  • Lead efforts to develop and enhance Sales training for relevant tools/templates.
  • Drive standardized approach to Customer engagement back into customer teams (including cadence planning and relationship development
  • Must build cross functional relationships with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and additional internal stakeholders.
  • Supports the Director of Commercial Excellence in driving organizational change related to process optimization.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
  • 5 + years of experience within Sales / Sales Planning / Sales Strategy / S&OP preferably in the CPG sector
  • Strong financial acumen, working knowledge of P&L statements, customer trade spend.
  • Proven ability to foster collaboration and teamwork.
  • Proven ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Proactive mindset, ability to solve problems and influence decision making across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to listen well and understand needs of cross functional stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to think strategically leveraging data sources like Nielsen/IRI and increase effectiveness at achieving overall strategies in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Ability to manage projects with deadlines to meet both stakeholders' needs and timeline requirements.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills to influence and secure cross-functional support at all levels in the organization. Ability to influence without authority through data-based selling, relationship building, and inspiring trust.
  • Must have excellent analytical skills and business acumen to build strong business cases for change.
  • Must be technology savvy and have strong office productivity software skills (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI) and ability to leverage databases, financial reporting and other data sources.
