Job Summary:

The Consumer Technical Coordinator is responsible for providing world-class service to any customer, primarily end-users/consumers, that develops issues with Zurn Elkay plumbing products focusing on sinks, faucets, and accessories. They are empowered to make in-the-moment decisions to address customer product concerns, warranty replacements and escalations to ensure a positive and memorable interaction with Elkay. The Consumer Technical Coordinator documents customer interactions and complaints in our CRM tool, Pulse. As the Voice of the Customer, they provide feedback to leadership, and partner with Engineering and Product Marketing, which can lead to improvements to products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound calls, emails, and web inquiries using the first-contact resolution process while maintaining department quality and production metrics
  • Process product warranty claims in accordance with service levels and within established parameters, making informed decisions based on product knowledge, issue research, and discussions with Product Engineers and Product Marketing as necessary
  • Document all customer interactions and conversations in the appropriate Pulse CRM fields and update pertinent information into Oracle order notes
  • Act as expert product consultant, articulating technical product specifications, features and benefits and making recommendations or offering alternatives based on both internal and external customer needs
  • Maintain an in-depth, expert-level knowledge of our sink, faucet and accessory products, both existing and new along with industry trends and products
  • Share knowledge, provide feedback and training to peers, including basic product training for new hires and product warranty support to Sales Reps
  • Demonstrate and uphold a sense of genuine care and urgency so customers feel well-supported, help model and instill these qualities in peers
  • Collaborate and build cross-functional relationships with internal and external customers
  • Serve as a steward of the organization's vision/mission and Zurn Elkay brand values

Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 4+ years customer service experience required
  • 2+ years Elkay Customer Care experience preferred
  • Bilingual preferred
