Event Coordinator

The Event Coordinator is crucial for the success of the Events Department and requires someone with high energy who enjoys an action-packed work environment. In this role, you will support the Events Team with clients and hotel personnel in the handling of banquet & catering accounts If you have a passion for excellent guest service with an exceptional organizational skills this would make you the perfect candidate.

What you will be doing:

* Promptly answer telephone calls following Pfister standards using clear and positive English communication. Communicate information accurately to managers and disseminate information and facts to relevant accounts and concerned departments.

* Distribute memos, contracts, resumes, BEOs, room requests and amenities to relevant departments throughout the hotel.

* Field all internal meeting requests and book all in-house meetings.

* Field, build and distribute all pop-up meetings requests to appropriate member of the Events Team.

* Manage rooms-only groups as assigned by Area Director of Events.

* Track and record Event Teams survey scores through Revinate.

* Participate in the contracted event turnover process through the hotel's Event Turnover SOP.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll bring to the role:

* High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

* Secondary Education in Hospitality, Event Management, or Business preferred.

* Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

* Listen and extend assistance in order to resolve problems.

* Promptly respond to requests for information on hotel facilities and menus.

* Attend all meetings for Events, Food & Beverage and more as necessary

* Be a member of the Special Events Committee.

* Conduct tours of the ballrooms and meet with clients as needed.

* Grooming standards must be adhered to. Associate must dress in professional business attire.

* Ensure guest satisfaction by timely follow up correspondence.

* Maintain accurate administrative files.
