Position Summary

Entry level position for an IT Analyst I position. The IT Analyst I will provide timely and professional resolution of user requests for help and other services. They play a crucial role in providing technical support for end users and ensuring smooth operations within the organization. Additionally, they assist in the creation and upkeep of IT documentation and procedures, contributing to the overall efficiency of the company's IT systems.

The IT Analyst I is responsible for providing desktop and network administration support to Chord Energy's internal and remote users. Candidates should have some experience with desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems, and network connectivity.Candidates should be customer-oriented and proactive in anticipating and resolving problems while maximizing efficient use of computing resources. This position requires someone that can follow a problem to its resolution and assist with providing root cause for severe and recurring issues. This position is in downtown Houston, TX. Level and salary commensurate with background and experience.Essential Job Functions
  • Provide phone-based technical support to users
  • Prioritize and escalate issues as needed
  • Maintain an inventory of deployed hardware, software installations, and available equipment
  • Work with hardware and software vendors to resolve issues and implement new products
  • Create user accounts and manage access controls based on company policies
  • Create, track and close tickets in the ticketing system
  • Deploy hardware and software to the end users
  • Install and troubleshoot Microsoft operating systems and office applications
  • Install and troubleshoot industry specific applications
  • Create telephone extensions, mailboxes, adding handsets for VoIP based systems
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, being available outside regular business hours to promptly address critical incidents
  • Manage user accounts and groups in Windows Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to problem solve and assist while having a great customer service attitude
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience working with Windows Active Directory
  • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 50 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.

  • Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot Windows client operating systems
  • Experience working with Microsoft Exchange
  • 2 years of job-related experience
  • Prior experience working in the oil and gas industry
