Job Title: Territory Sales Manager
Location: Remote (Candidate should be located in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Eastern Dakotas, or Illinois)


Job Summary:

Responsible for sales growth and business development of Gardner Denver brand compressed air equipment and components through authorized Gardner Denver distributors. Formulate business strategy and implement plans to grow sales revenue and market share, with an emphasis on key strategic actions. You will also be responsible for successful implementation of commercial business programs. Candidate must be knowledgeable regarding air compressor products, services, and solutions. You will establish yourself as the significant point of contact for each assigned distributor including business owners, sales teams, and service leaders. Duties are clearly centered on territory, distributor business development, and growth of revenue in conjunction with customer contact.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage Gardner Denver branded air compression products and their sales growth through our distribution channel.
  • Cultivation of product sales at end-users. Analyze Target Account requirements with distributors and develop penetration plans to increase market shared. Develop distributor relationships at all levels within the respective organization.
  • Resolution of conflict within the channel.
  • Utilize distribution and Gardner Denver resources to provide the necessary level of technical expertise to the customer.
  • Coordinate with Product Management and other business area resources as necessary to resolve problems involving pricing, product specifications, strategy, and warranties as required.
  • Responsible for the measurement of distributor performance and implementation of distributor performance improvement programs for new equipment, parts, air treatment, and services revenue. Management of commercial programs through the channel.
  • Collect and report activities, headwinds, tailwinds, and strategies of your region including competitors to sales management monthly.
  • Take an active role in coaching distribution personnel while evaluating their competency in support of Gardner Denver products and services. Differentiate Gardner Denver from competition utilizing product and non-product factors.



Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Management or related area. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & Salesforce tracking software.
  • At least 5 years of experience in increasingly responsible positions within the sales hierarchy, and proficient with various sales concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • A wide variety of creativity and communication is required to motivate the sales force.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities along with excellent communication skills will assist the incumbent to be successful.
  • Familiarity with rotating equipment is preferred.



Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
This is a remote based position with up to 50% travel
Candidate should be located in Michigan, Indiana, Western Ohio, or Kentucky
