We are seeking a dynamic and driven Admissions Outreach Manager to spearhead our efforts in recruiting MBA candidates to Kellogg's Evening & Weekend and Executive MBA programs. In this role, the outreach manager will collaborate closely with admissions teams and will be responsible for implementing innovative domestic recruitment strategies, developing and planning admissions events, and crafting strategic communications to attract top-tier talent to our Evening & Weekend and Executive MBA programs. The outreach manager will leverage their expertise in project management, data analysis, CRM utilization, and strategic communications to help achieve annual admissions goals. Collaborating across departments will be essential in this role to align recruitment efforts with the broader Kellogg School of Management.

About This Position

The Outreach Manager will be responsible for the planning and execution of Admissions-related events, outreach communications and activities (i.e. off-campus recruiting/yield events, on-campus recruiting/yield events). Responsible for outreach activities across Evening & Weekend (E&W) and Executive MBA Admissions programs, the Outreach Manager will report to the Director of Strategic Planning and Outreach and collaborate closely with the E&W & EMBA MBA Admissions teams.

Working with internal staff/faculty and community members (i.e. Corporate Partners/Alumni/Students), the Outreach Manager is the principal handler of all event planning and key contributor in stakeholder engagement and event communications within the working professionals MBA admissions teams.

Please note: This job will require flexibility in the hours worked. The Outreach Manager will need to attend events that will span evening hours and occasionally weekends. Infrequent local and national travel may be required.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning and execution of Admissions Outreach activities and events for Admissions to deliver a best-in-class experience for prospective students, admitted students and all other key stakeholders.
  • Oversees Admissions events across all domestic markets; responsibilities include venue selection, contract negotiations, vendor relations, onsite logistics management, etc.
  • Plans recruiting and yield E&W Admissions events and joint recruitment events with Executive MBA, as well as corporate outreach activities; responsibilities include coordinating logistics, securing volunteers, assisting with content development, stakeholder engagement, confirmations calls, event check-in, follow-up calls and evaluation.
  • Provides creative, appropriate, timely, and unique solutions for overall event plans and plays key role in executing each event, in-person or remotely.
  • Works with catering and facilities teams (onsite and offsite events) to ensure that the highest quality service and products are offered. Collaborates on menu offerings, room set up and decor. Oversees the expenditure per event to ensure it is within budget.
  • Prepares event briefs to communicate to all key stakeholders in advance of events.
  • Co-manages (with the E&W Admission team) relationships with alumni and student ambassadors.
  • Produces event reports and ROI analysis based on event data.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve and enhance outreach activities and events based on event analysis, feedback and competitive intelligence.
  • Manages all communication calendars and execution related to event promotion, including updating the events page of the website, drafting/sending event invitations and follow up communications across the Evening & Weekend and Executive MBA programs.
  • Maintains templates and auto-communications in admissions CRM database
  • Manages event inquiries from prospective and admitted students
  • Partners with the Marketing Admissions team on marketing and communications efforts to prospective and admitted students.
  • Maintains a close relationship with the centralized Admissions Outreach team and meets regularly to update the broader team on event best practices.
  • Works closely with the Director of Strategic Planning & Outreach, Outreach Manager and Director of Admissions to drive outreach strategy.
  • Markets the Kellogg School of Management and embodies the Inspiring Growth brand at all times when planning and executing events.
  • Serves as a Kellogg ambassador through all interactions with prospective students and key stakeholders (current students, Kellogg staff, professors, alumni, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired.
  • 4+ years of professional work experience with coordination/event planning/management responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and cooperatively with other staff and volunteers.
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational and creative skills.
  • Familiarity and comfort working with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Event planning, marketing, or higher education experience with ability to think strategically and execute tactically

Preferred Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities)

  • Savvy with technology including data management and CRM

Target hiring range for this position will be between $53,206 - $65,000 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
