Job Summary:
The Export Controls & International Compliance (ECIC) analyst will support Northwestern University's campus community by researching and analyzing export control regulations, improper foreign influence regulations, and other international compliance topics. The ECIC analyst will conduct export control reviews, including classifications, shipping reviews, and international travel assessments. The ECIC analyst will assist in applying for export licenses or using exemptions and implementing Technology Control Plans.
The ECIC analyst will also support Northwestern's efforts to counter improper foreign influence, including conducting risk assessments, providing training and educational outreach, and assisting in maintaining the Export Controls and Research Security websites. The ECIC analyst will maintain knowledge of the regulatory landscape related to export controls, improper foreign influence, and related research security regulations. The ECIC Analyst will develop an internal and external liaison network to identify trends and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:
Target hiring range for this position will be between $68,000 to $83,000 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data
