Job Summary:

Performs a variety of maintenance duties for the entire facility, as assigned.

Primary Duties (5-7 Key responsibilities)

  • Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains, and repairs equipment, systems and facilities related to any craft or combination of the same, using power and hand tools and other necessary equipment.

  • Performs other semi-skilled and skilled work in various trades such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical work, machinist work, etc.

  • Analyzes and correct building system problems, alone or as part of a team.

  • Cleans and lubricates machinery and equipment

  • Disassembles and assembles equipment when there is a problem

  • Performs testing of equipment to ensure proper operations

  • Reads and interprets technical manuals to understand controls

  • Repair or replaces malfunctioning or broken components

  • Assists in the completion of all normal and minor repairs and reports major problems to Supervisor

  • Responds to emergency problems in the facility and makes emergency repairs as needed

  • Maintain CMMS records for personal activity and machine activity

  • Maintain reporting logs for personal activity and machine activity

  • Serves as a member of the fire response team.

  • Assists in snow removal

  • Perform production machine repair and preventative maintenance on industrial manufacturing equipment, powered industrial trucks and building utilities

  • Operate motorized industrial equipment

  • Participate in department meetings and projects

  • Operate within standard operating procedures

  • Maintain neat, clean and well-organized work area

  • Other duties as assigned
