What the role is:

The Cadence Bank's Real Estate Capital Markets Team Leader's primary responsibility is to build and maintain Cadence relationships to allow for referrals of investment and, in some cases, owner occupied real estate property loans which in turn are placed with permanent lenders. In addition, the individual will maintain relationships with the Bank's cadre of third party real estate lenders to facilitate the placement of these real estate loans for both bank and non-bank clients.

How you will make an impact:

Develops meaningful business relationships with Cadence relationship managers and credit approvers, clients and prospects for real estate credit facilities and third party permanent lenders.

Represents the bank in public relations activities and commercial real estate organizations.

Manages a fee-based product set.

Interviews relationship managers and clients and determines the best lenders and products for resolution of the client's needs.

Analyzes applicant financial status to determine the feasibility of meeting the client's loan need through a third party lender.

Negotiates placement fees with the client and spreads revenue sharing (if applicable) with third party lenders.

Packages information needed for third party lenders to provide term sheets and applications.

Helps the client navigate through the third party application and approval process until the loan is closed.

Educates Cadence Bank team members on products available for real estate developers and owners.

Visits markets to meet with Cadence market leaders and potential clients.

Who you are:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field.

A minimum of 5 years experience as a Real Estate Capital Markets placement agent or commercial real estate lender.

Knowledgeable of third party lenders loan policies and procedures as well as life company, loan fund, CMBS and agency lending guidelines, requirements and terms.

Strong understanding of commercial real estate underwriting.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong negotiating skills.

Sales and business development oriented.

Self motivated and eager to generate leads by maintaining constant dialogue between bankers and clients.

Must have excellent analytical and critical thinking skills and be able to multitask under pressure.

Must continue to adjust to the environment for Real Estate Capital Markets as terms and markets change.
