Business Job Title: Inventory Management Specialist

Job Summary:

The Inventory Management Specialist is an integral part of the warehousing function, to ensure inventory is appropriately maintained & accurate. The role conducts regular inventory counts, audits, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. Monitor and analyze inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Utilize inventory management software and tools to track inventory movements and maintain accurate records. Develop and implement inventory control procedures and policies to enhance operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan inventory levels and optimize inventory storage. Identify and resolve inventory-related issues, such as stock obsolescence, expiration, and damage. Generate reports and provide insights to management regarding inventory performance and recommendations for improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with periodic (at least annual) ISO audits, Consignment audits and or physical inventory.
• Troubleshoots system issues, using detailed knowledge of WMS, Kpack and slotting.
• Develops and analyzes reports to improve processes such as order processing, ordering quantities and put away processing. This includes using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Business Objects and Power BI.
• Collaborates with Production, Sourcing, Sales, Customer Service, External Customers, Distribution coordinators and inventory system specialist to create efficiencies for Broan-NuTone such as ordering quantities and reducing customer specific requirements while still meeting customer needs.
• Assists with inventory discrepancy troubleshooting. Reconcile inventory differences between physical stock and systematic data.
• Monitors inventory levels in the Warehouse. Determines proper storage of all inventories. Works with 3^rd party storage vendors to manage the offsite inventory if needed.
• Provides training to software users as needed or requested.
• Run shortage reports and maintain out-of-balance reporting.
• Uses software to determine appropriate stack patterns for new and existing SKU's.
• Other tasks as required. i.e. office support, DC Coordinator and/or warehouse support.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in WMS.
• Experience with AS400 is desirable.
• Prior experience of warehousing duties and processes.
• Requires strong analytical and communication skills.
• Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent decision making and organizational skills.
• Ability to use scales and measuring tools to capture item dimension data.
• Prior knowledge of inventory control procedures and supply chain networks preferred.
• Forklift certification is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 25 lbs. frequently; occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to move safely throughout all areas of the facility, with or without accommodation.
• Use computer in an office setting for extended period of time.
• Able to carry, stand, walk, bend.
