Huntsman is seeking a Sr. EHS Manager - Performance Improvement supporting EHS - Americas located in The Woodlands, Texas. This position will report to the Americas EHS Director.

Job Purpose

  • Identify and Implement EHS improvement and efficiency opportunities across the America's region manufacturing and R&D facilities.
  • Develop best practice sharing and learning culture with emphasis on implementation across the America's region.
  • Focus on achieving Zero Harm and delivering robust EHS Compliance.
  • Ensure the sites successfully achieve and maintain Responsible Care certification.

As the Sr. EHS Manager - Performance Improvement, you will:

  • Be an active member of Americas Regional EHS leadership Team, work closely with functional & sites leaders to instill a world class EHS culture focusing on active leadership and associates' engagement, striving to ensure regulatory compliance, eliminate process safety events, occupational injuries, and environmental incidents.
  • Develop and report key performance indicators (KPI's) to provide the necessary visibility, accountability, and transparency of EHS performance and integration improvement plan progress, in conjunction with the Americas Regional EHS Director.
  • Work closely with Regional EHS Sr. Managers, Site Managers, EHS managers, Manufacturing Directors/VPs, and Center of Excellence (COE) resource teams to instill the appropriate Huntsman culture and expectations, ensuring a positive culture for continuous improvement, performance and behavior promoting the implementation of best practices.
  • Lead and actively participate in key networks to share best practices, expedite learning, and drive improvement opportunities, leverage knowledge and experience to drive towards Zero Harm culture.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize EHS policies/procedures/training across sites to deliver EHS process efficiencies.
  • Work closely with the Corporate EHS team to ensure the sites successfully achieve and maintain Responsible Care certification.

Required Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in EHS, Science, Engineering, or related field required

Required Experience

  • 12+ Years in EHS and/or Manufacturing with EHS responsibility required, with 5+ years in leadership positions preferred.
  • Proven experience working across multiple sites, influencing various levels of management, and delivering improved performance.
  • To excel in this position, you must be an outstanding problem-solver, be flexible and motivated, have exceptional communication and organizational skills.
