Mativ is currently searching for an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Intern to join our team next summer. This intern position is an excellent opportunity to learn and contribute to corporate EHS strategic initiatives, and the important factors that make them successful. We are looking for an enthusiastic and results-driven intern to support the corporate environmental, health, and safety leadership team in deployment of key initiatives across Mativs manufacturing operations.

The Mativ Summer Internship Program is scheduled to start on May 20, 2024 August 9, 2024. Our paid internship offers a well-rounded experience including meaningful work, dedicated intern management, community service, professional development, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and/or contribute to defined projects focused on improved EHS data collection, management, communication and usage across Mativ, from facility to enterprise level,
  • Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies, procedures, training and programs
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
  • Support Mativs safety and environmental initiatives
  • Develop working knowledge of federal and state environmental, health and safety regulations
  • Interact with site EHS leaders and corporate staff on various projects and initiatives

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
  • Minimum GPA-3.0.
  • Internship or work experience preferred.
