Position Summary

The Consultant, Talent Development & Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is a key contributor and active participant in the facilitation of diversity, equity, and inclusion programs and talent development functions across Versiti. This role will work directly with both internal and external team members to assess, develop and deliver programs in alignment with company DEI and Talent Development goals. The Consultant, Talent Development & DEI reports to the Director, DEI and Community Outreach and has a dotted line to the Director, Talent Development.

Responsibilities
    Uses subject matter expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion to design learning programs that advance DEI and address gaps in employee knowledge and skill in creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. Works with talent development team to execute these programs with excellence, attending to quality, timeliness, and budgetary needs. Develops metrics to measure program effectiveness, training effectiveness, and incorporates into programs.
  • Consults with departments, supervisors, and employees on DEI skills or knowledge gaps and uses subject matter expertise to design and implement OD interventions to address these gaps.
  • Collaborates with Director to develop and execute DEI programs with excellence, attending to quality, timeliness, and budgetary needs.
  • Collaborates with DEI leadership to identify DEI workplace metrics that will provide insights to help us create a better workplace experience. Tracks and reports against metrics, utilizing data to find key insights to improve programs and services.
  • Compile data to analyze and report on diversity metrics and talent effectiveness. Produce presentations, provide documents, information, data analysis and tracking as needed and requested.
  • Facilitates learning and development sessions/programs according to designed objectives and in a manner that is conducive to adult learning styles.
  • Manages vendors and maintains relationships to ensure high quality and cost-effective procurement of training materials and other development services in support of our internally designed programs and facilitation.
  • Coordinates employee service group programming, including scheduling and organizing events, creating spaces for difficult conversations, coordinating employee service group leadership meetings, and ensuring that HR Leadership attends on a regular basis. Serves as an information touchpoint - providing feedback from the groups to HR Leadership as issues and comments arise, communicating to the groups about initiatives, and representing employee service group views as an advocate when group members are not present.
  • Develops and manages internal communications related to talent development and DEI initiatives including targeted leadership, event promotion, and programming communications.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
  • Understands and performs in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Complies with all standard operating policies and procedures
Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field required

Experience

  • 7-9 years of experience driving action in talent development and/or diversity and inclusion efforts preferred
  • Experience with developing, tracking, and reporting qualitative and quantitative data analysis and presenting findings to key stakeholders required
  • Experience designing, implementing, delivering, and evaluating learning and development programs required
  • Experience in healthcare and/or not-for-profit organizations preferred
  • Experience in Power BI preferred
  • Experience in developing targeted communications including newsletters, event promotions, etc. preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Understanding of diversity and inclusion challenges in a complex workplace including KPIs and ROIs preferred
  • Experience supporting multiple work streams and/or programs simultaneously required
  • Strong project, program, and time management skills as well as proven track record of success of prioritizing and removing obstacles to achieve deadlines and outcomes required
  • Interpersonal experience, including influence, relationship building and collaboration experience within a cross-functional team to accomplish all necessary tasks required
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational experience required
  • Comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated competence in applying best practices in assessment, design, development, delivery and evaluation of learning and development solutions preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong presentation and facilitation skills across all levels of the organization required
  • Work independently and with minimal supervision required
