Position: FlexMove Team Lead

Position Overview: This role will act as a lead in the Flex move department throughout the day to improve accuracy, quality, prioritization of work, and 5S standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside teammates to perform Conveyor assemblies in a product line.
  • Maintain rotation of tasks within the department and participate in daily Gemba board discussions.
  • Work alongside Supervisor and Production Manager and individual cells to meet on time delivery goals.
  • Act as primary trainer for new employees within the Flex Move department.
  • Identify areas for improvement and training needed for individuals within the Flex Move department.
  • Work closely with engineering.
  • Establish daily and weekly 5S schedule for all Flex Move team members to participate in.
  • Work in a safe manner to keep you and your team incident free.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to think abstractly to deal with ambiguous/undefined problems.
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust priories to reflect changing needs or job demands.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills.
Required Qualifications:
  • Lead and/or supervisorial experience or the willingness to obtain via training or coursework.
  • Ability to lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs. safely.
