ATI and markets a wide range of specialty metal alloys, including titanium, nickel, and steel forgings to end use markets such as aerospace, energy, oil & gas, and general industrial markets. We have several operating facilities and deliver products to customers globally.

We are currently seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer at our Cudahy, WI.

This position provides leadership, design, drawings, specifications, instructions and other data required for the manufacture, construction, operation, or installation of machines, tools, equipment, buildings and or facilities.

  • Manage assigned projects and provide guidance in troubleshooting problems of machinery, equipment, building, or in the facility.
  • Redesign and manage repair or rebuild of plant equipment to overcome difficulties, correct improper function, and/or meet new requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate the design and layout of equipment in order to optimize the use of available space and improve production, operating efficiency and safety.
  • Estimate costs, including equipment, installation, materials, labor, etc.
  • Monitor and manage the construction/installation process while working with internal maintenance personnel and outside contractors.
  • Make equipment design layouts and specify material handling equipment that utilize the principles of stress analysis, mechanics, kinematics, machine and tool design, strength of materials, and other physical sciences.
  • Work from ideas, concepts, sketches, layouts, instruction, or specifications.
  • Responsible for accuracy, mathematical computations, and functional correctness of designs.
  • Lead or work collaboratively with other engineers, designers, draftsmen, maintenance, contractors, machine operators, and/or representatives of other company departments.
  • Manage assignments as given and direct technical work of a small group (1 or 2) of designers, draftsmen, and/or other Engineers.
  • Other job duties as assigned

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience working in Engineering Design, Project Management and or Technical Work
