Job Description

Summary

Position Summary

  • Handles all incoming calls, identifies client needs and responds accordingly. Regularly monitors problem sheets and maintains computerized client problem tracking. Acts as a liaison between clients and the clinical laboratory. Performs internal client account maintenance. Uses laboratory information systems to input and obtain relevant patient information.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education: Completion of high school or equivalent is preferred. Health care experience or post high school education in health care, laboratory sciences (MLT or MT) or equivalent sciences preferred. Working knowledge of medical terminology and reference laboratory operations required.
  • License/Certifications: N/A
  • Experience: See "Education"
  • Working knowledge of word processing software (e.g. Word) and be able to learn and work efficiently with a variety of laboratory computer systems.
  • Oral and written communication needs to be professional, clear and concise.
  • Successfully demonstrates competencies in the position in accordance with the established assessment for the position.
  • Must be able to work any shift, holiday and/or weekend as needed.
  • Must be able to travel among company sites as needed.
