We are seeking experienced 1st shift Assembler. In this role you will be responsible for both new and rebuilt assemblies.
What’s in the job:
  • Perform diversified assembly and erection operations to assemble intricate or large and expensive apparatus, machines or equipment to close tolerances and strict inspection requirements.
  • Reads and follows blueprints, job routers, specifications and other instructions in order to build and assemble parts and/or sub-assemblies in an accurate and timely fashion.  
  • Assembly procedures usually prescribed and operations are recognized as standard practices.
  • Prepare parts for assembly with manual equipment and hand and power tools.
  • Perform skilled fitting of parts, sub-assemblies and related units. Complete aligning, adjusting and required secondary machining.
  • Operate manual lathe and milling equipment.
What does it take:
  • HSD/GED; 2+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have ability to read and understand blueprints and other manufacturing instructions.
  • Experience with overhead bridge cranes and rigging of large parts is required.
  • Must be familiar with assembling techniques, plus experience and knowledge of design and basic mechanical principles.
  • General knowledge of manual machine operation is required. Must be familiar with portable power tools and machine tools such as drill press, bandsaw, cut-off saw, grinder and manual lathe/mill.
  • Utilizes caliper and O.D. micrometer inspection measurement gages.
  • Physical Requirements: Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Must regularly lift or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs.
