**Remote position with occasional travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin***

We are looking for a senior IT program manager to manage multifaceted data projects. This role involves driving projects particularly in Analytics, Data warehousing and Data Science space for Cloud and on-prem based solutions.

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations

This position will report to Sr. Director of Digital & IT Portfolio Management. Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Owns overall responsibility for successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project or program

  • Collaborate with IT leadership and project leads (IT and/or Business) to finalize business case, secure funding & resources, gain approval, create roadmap and manage projects

  • Overall responsibility for activity planning & sequencing, resource planning, developing and maintaining schedules, budget management, risk analysis and management, action item follow-up, status reporting, issue management, business partnering, working with vendors etc.

  • Responsible for keeping the project data updated on a regular basis in internal Project & Portfolio management tool & other project repositories. (ServiceNow, Jira, MS Project, SharePoint, etc.)

  • Collaborate with internal IT and business teams to address daily operational or project-related issues.

  • Plan and execute deployment, decommission, cost reductions

  • Create over-arching roadmaps, project charters, communication and organizational change management plans

  • Embed Agile methodology and principles, and champion the culture change

  • Supports the governance and project status review meetings

Technical Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Experience in using both "waterfall" and "agile" project management methodologies and frameworks is a must

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365

  • Strong analytical skills, able to perceive and analyze problems, develop alternatives and recommend sound decisions

  • Must have a combination of skills including an ability to ask penetrating questions, detect unstated assumptions and resolve conflicts, as well as more general management and team-player skills

  • Proven ability to demonstrate strong project management skills:

  • Be able to independently drive meetings, create and present status reports to IT and/or business audience independently

  • Ability to create projects plans, proactive risk/issues management is key, drive follow-up on open actions, maintain compliance with company project management processes

  • Proven competencies in using various Agile competencies in managing IT projects:

  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow SPM or related tools

  • Prepare for and facilitate daily scrum meetings; sprint planning, review, and retrospective ceremonies; Experience as an IT project manager using both traditional waterfall and Agile methodologies is a must with an ability to blend them together based on current project requirements.

  • Create, maintain, and organize backlog of features, epics, stories, and tasks

  • Review and provide feedback on drafted user stories and epics to ensure alignment with general Agile user story standards

  • Provide input to release planning using team capacity and skill set information

  • Compile, analyze, and present statistics about time estimation accuracy, team velocity, and burndown rate to development team and management each sprint

  • Be an advocate for the Agile and Scrum methodology

Non-Technical Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Ability to see big picture and translate the vision into manageable projects and tasks with proper prioritization

  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently to drive execution

  • Executive Communication : Extremely proficient at executive communication. Ability to establish context and hit the right tone while communicating with senior level executives

  • Team communication skills are critical for ensuring the success of the projects.

  • Strong collaboration & active listening skills

  • Ability to build relationships and ensure the sharing of new ideas and best practices

  • Ability to influence and coach teams to resolve conflict, remove impediments, and meet output targets

  • Very strong team player, should possess ability to foster teamwork and positive working environment to the project team in light of changes and challenges.

  • Should have people skills to be able to work independently with different IT team members in different roles

  • Strong written and oral communications skills, detail oriented

  • Planning : Needs to be skilled in estimation, planning and organize work. S/he knows how to create useful, reliable and practical plans and connect them to goals and actions.

  • Curious with a strong aptitude to learn

  • Recognize and deal appropriately with confidential and sensitive information

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and rapidly changing environment. Be able to multi-task as needed

Experience:

  • 8+ years of past experience as IT project manager, with 3 years in data related projects

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline

  • Experience in managing ERP implementations, digital applications, BI & data analytics or network/security is preferred -

  • Experience with cloud based data platforms like Snowflake, Data Bricks and IDMC (informatica in Cloud)

  • PMP certification, Certified SCRUM master and/or other project management certification is preferred
