Job Title: Converting Operator - Lead

Schedule: Monday-Friday from 2:45pm-11:00pm

Location: Elkhorn, WI

GENERAL SCOPE OF JOB

Responsible for coordinating all converting operators to operate safely & efficiently, while ensuring product adheres to our quality policy. If all operators are running smoothly, you're expected to run production as well to maximize department throughput. Provide necessary coverage when supervisor is out of office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demonstrates Converting Operator - Tier Three proficiencies to supervisor and department manager.
• Check/ post in Microsoft Teams daily.
• Assign converting operators and helpers to converting machines and cells daily.
• Assign tasks to maximize converting operator and helper productivity, machine moves, quality hold area
• Coordinate break times to keep converting machines running.
• Ensure all converting operators are staying on task to maximize department throughput.
• Conduct coaching conversations and hold team members accountable to Pregis work procedures and policies
• Notify manager and/or supervisor if any operators aren't adhering to Pregis policies.
• Communicates converting operator supply levels.
• Conduct Daily Shift Huddles as necessary
• Conduct Quality Audits Daily
• Ensure a smooth handoff with next shift.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years of manufacturing work experience.
• Lead experience preferred
