Position Summary | This position has two key purposes. First, the position provides leadership and supervision to the purchasing function which includes, in addition to purchasing, managerial oversight of the College's general liability insurance and related risk management responsibilities and oversight of operational leases and contracts. Second, this position participates as a member of the College's management team to achieve the College's mission and goals and objectives. As the leader of the purchasing operation, this position:
This is a working supervisor position. As such, it performs tasks identical to persons supervised and is the employee who primarily handles the general liability and leases and contracts functions. Supervisory Responsibility: This position is the immediate supervisor of two (2) purchasing specialists. |

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions | 1. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. 2. Need to frequently move about office and campus. 3. Frequently operations office equipment such as computer, copier, fax, etc. 4. Constantly communicates with others both inside and outside of the College. Must be able to exchange information in these situations. |
Work Schedule | Standard hours are 8-5 Monday through Friday but, as a supervisor, must work hours and schedule necessary to ensure success. |
