North American Water Treatment (NAWT) is A O Smith's water quality solutions provider with a complete line of residential and commercial products and systems for a wide variety of applications. A.O. Smith's Water Quality Dealer Network is comprised of multiple independent dealership brands, supported out of multiple locations, including WaterCare, Evolve Series, Hague Quality Water and A.O. Smith Specialized Water Solutions.

Primary Function

The Dealer Development Manager aids in the growth of A.O. Smith's Water Quality Dealers through the creation and management of dealer programs specifically targeted at increasing dealer brand penetration, leads and sales. A primary focus of this role is to own, evaluate and maximize existing dealer program offerings, as well as champion future program development. Dealer programs include, but are not exclusive to - demand creation (B2B & B2C), strategic lead generation programs, co-op advertising, consignment, and incentive/recognition programs. This role will collaborate daily with strategic partners, dealers, and AO Smith's internal teams to drive profitable growth throughout the channel. Effective program management will include engaging sales and dealers on how to effectively integrate different program offerings into their business that result in increased loyalty and purchases of AO Smith products.

Role Specific Responsibilities
  1. Manage retail lead program - Sell, Furnish and Install
    1. Work with national retailer to strategically grow retail sales through dealer network
    2. Partner with AO Smith retail team to continue to support larger retail partnership
    3. Drive dealer performance accountability
  2. Create industry leading dealer support programs that drive growth
  3. Increase overall utilization & ROI of existing key dealer programs
  4. Work across channels within AO Smith to help develop and eventually own omni-channel lead programs
  5. Manage lead generation activities for both new dealer recruitment as well as consumer leads
  6. Lead New dealer onboarding/orientation experience
  7. Other duties and special projects may be assigned as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred
  • 5+ years related work experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • Dealer network or like channel experience
  • Experience working in or with corporate retail
  • Proven track record of managing growth initiatives from concept to execution
  • Strategic-minded, but attuned to detail
  • Undertakes projects on his/her own initiative, results oriented
  • Able to work amongst a team
  • Open to travel to visit dealers and to corporate offices
  • Good oral, written and email communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and Zoom
  • Comfortable and willing to speak on camera (webinars or recorded video series)
  • Able to adapt to change in a growing organization
