SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNING INTERNSHIP

Located at our beautiful Headquarters along Lake Michigan in downtown Racine: 555 Main Street, Racine, WI. Hybrid work schedule.

The Supply Chain Planning Team is looking for an energetic and self-motivated Intern to join our Supply Chain Team. If you're an ambitious individual who wants to build a career in supply chain management, we want to work with you. In addition to being naturally curious and analytical, you should have strong multitasking and organizational abilities and be a good communicator. The successful candidate will also have a general understanding of supply chain planning techniques supporting demand planning, supply and inventory planning.

The position is located at our Racine offices and is a paid, summer internship averaging 32-40 hours per week. We expect the position to begin approximately May/June 2024 and end no later than the end of August 2024. This is a terrific opportunity for a current college student or a new grad seeking entry level experience. Since this is a temporary opportunity, the position is not eligible for benefits. Preference will be giving to eligible children of our employees

Job Duties:

  • Assist with the rolling demand and sales forecast for a defined period of time including assessing the impact of market changes or significant variances in the demand plan (forecast accuracy) and recommend appropriate revisions and tactics.
  • Collect past/future demand factors (i.e. distribution gains/losses, price changes, new or discontinued products, seasonality, promotion plans) from sales and marketing and assist in modeling their impacts on demand.
  • Analyze inventory and propose risk and opportunities associated with slow moving, excess or aged inventory
  • Additional assignments to be determined

Qualifications:

  • Education: A college student studying Supply Chain or Data Science or a recent college graduate with applicable degree seeking an entry level opportunity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in mathematics and business statistics
  • Strong analytic & critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage project work and multi-task
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative, works well in cross-functional teams
  • Legally authorized to work in the US and not require employment based sponsorship now or in the future
