Job Summary
Seeking an experienced, self-motivated CNCProgrammer & Machinist to carry out milling and latheoperations. This position offers a variety of job complexity within the prototype environment. You will be cutting low volume production parts and materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, and other various exotic materials.

Essential Functions
  • Program parts using 2D and/or 3D toolpaths using Surfcam or Mastercam on mill and/or lathe.
  • Setup and operate multiple machines to perform milling and/or lathe activities.
  • Select and prepare raw materials for machining.
  • Determine and design custom fixtures for work holding requirements.
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspection of parts per specifications using basic measuring equipment.
  • Assist withcleaning and preventative maintenance of machines, tools, and workstations.
Technical Competencies
  • Proficient knowledge of print reading.
  • Proficient knowledge of CNC machining procedures, high tolerance machining, and geometric dimensioning.
  • Proficient knowledge of 2D and 3D programming.
  • Basic knowledge of lathe concepts.
  • Proficient knowledge of material properties.
  • Basic knowledge of custom fixturing techniques.
  • Proficient of shop mechanics, mathematics and measurement.

  • Organize, prioritize, and manage multiple simple to medium complexity projects in a cross-functional environment.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, 2-year Machining Degree preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant setup and programming experience in related industry
  • Working knowledge of lathe, 2D, and 3D programming
Work Hours
  • Monday - Friday, 1st shift
  • Overtime work available based on workload
