Inspector
1st shift, Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm
Will be trained to inspect and grade incoming material, will operate forklift at times so must have forklift operating experience. Customer interaction.
Job Description
- Directs and inspects inbound scrap metal to the facility.
- Knows location of yard inventory
- Identifies and grades inbound scrap
- Identifies and rejects unacceptable items
- Directs customers in traffic flow and proper unloading area
- Completes inspection ticket and provides to customer
- Has customer sign appropriate material certificate
- Maintains good working relationship with customer
- May operate yard equipment as needed
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Prior experience in metals preferred.
- Must be able to interact with customers and vendors in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus (not required)
