We're looking for Technical Product Marketers to join our high-impact Slack product marketing organization! This is an opportunity that allows you to exercise your strategic vision, storytelling skills, and technical expertise. Technical Product Marketers are storytellers: simplifying complex concepts, crafting stories that are human and easy to relate to, highlighting customer success, and grounded in an understanding of our products & features. We measure our success by our ability to develop relevant positioning and messaging, innovative demos that bring our product use cases to life and drive sales pipeline and new customers into the business.
We are looking for someone with deep technical knowledge and a skill for translating Slack's current and future capabilities into compelling stories. You are a big picture innovator who isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves and craft compelling content to support our customers, partners, and sales teams. You are comfortable both producing and presenting live demos, messaging, enablement, and demo education to our internal, partner and customer audiences. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with product teams, marketing teams, sales teams, developers, designers, and more. The best candidates will be highly collaborative individuals and initiative takers who are motivated by a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities & Impact
    • Partner with Product Management to understand product strategy and roadmaps, distill key functionality and value into core product positioning and messaging.
    • Build innovative and differentiated product demonstrations based on a deep understanding of our customers' top goals and challenges.
    • Partner closely with campaigns, solution engineering, and other product marketers and drive cross-functional alignment on programs to drive pipeline.
    • Develop succinct and effective sales training materials (training, FAQs, etc.), making it easy for non-technical sales to understand our complete suite technology.
    • Work with Sales Engineering to give our technical sellers new ways to showcase the power of Slack and Salesforce.
    • Keep current with technology trends and incorporate new technologies into our keynotes and demos.
Required Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in technical product marketing, product management, or solution engineering at a high tech company, or similar equivalent
  • Experience with enterprise applications such as CRM, ERP, customer service or homegrown solutions
  • Expertise in building product demos end-to-end, from building compelling narratives that accurately position our products and align to our corporate messaging, to owning the technical execution in demo videos and demo orgs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present in front of executives, vendors, partners, and customers
  • Consistent track record in defining/driving project execution with minimal guidance and performing well in a fast-paced environment
  • Phenomenal teammate with a proven track record leading and inspiring through influence
  • Hands-on experience building a range of marketing assets, including compelling positioning and messaging, succinct slide pitch-decks, demo videos, and event/webinar content.
  • Preferred experience with HTML, CSS, APIs, Apex, or other coding languages (some mix of the above) as well as design tools such as Figma
  • Must be able to come into a hub office 3 xs a week.

Preferred skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills to define and balance multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively within a dynamic environment.
  • Video design and editing skills including the ability to record and produce polished demo videos using tools like Adobe Premier, Camtasia, or FinalCut.
  • Experience with the Salesforce products and/or B2B technology platforms.
  • Experience with technical product marketing
  • Salesforce Certifications (Administrator, Developer) and Trailhead badges a plus. As well as application development on the Salesforce Platform.
  • Preferred experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, iOS, APIs, Apex, Java (some mix), as well as design tools such as Figma.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $132,800 to $182,600.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
