Work Schedule:

This is a full time, 1.0 FTE position. Shifts will be scheduled Monday - Friday. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. This is a remote position.

We are seeking a Manager, Clinical Denial Management and Transplant Billing to:

  • Manage the financial control, supervision and support of the billing and collection for hospital and professional transplant services, management of clinical denials as they relate to admissions, procedures, high-end radiology, and radiation oncology, and government audits specific to medical necessity issues.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment for all transplant services.
  • Confirm timely and thorough appeal of all clinical denials including those related to medical necessity, length of stay, level of care, and prior authorization.
  • Lead accurate and compliant resolution of all government-mandated medical necessity audits.

Education:

Minimum -Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a business, healthcare administration or related major.

Preferred - BSN in nursing or other related healthcare field.

Work Experience:

Minimum -Five (5) years of experience in a health care setting, including at least th ree (3) years of related experience in a leadership role. Equivalent and relevant combination of Master's level education, fellowship, or experience may be considered in lieu of total experience.

Preferred -Five years (5) of management experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations for a large, complex health care environment, including experience in an academic medical center.

Licenses and Certifications:

Preferred -Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin or equivalency
