Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for a technology systems designer. Responsibilities include designing communications, security and audio-visual infrastructure and layout of technology rooms for new and renovation projects; participating in technical meetings with clients, construction staff, and project team members; assisting with review of reports, specifications, plans, schedules, and studies; assisting with the development of construction cost estimates; performing construction administration tasks and site inspections. Regular travel will be required.
The successful candidate must have a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) or Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification or the ability to obtain at least one certification listed within two years of hire, and a combination of education and/or experience totaling seven years of relevant experience. Any of the following is acceptable:
- Associate degree (or higher) in technology design, engineering technology, or related field plus five years of experience in building design or construction (technology systems preferred)
- If no degree, must have at least seven years of experience related to building design (at least four years of technology systems experience).
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:
- Designing technology (ICT) systems involving new and/or building renovation projects
- Designing security electronic systems
- Participating in technical meetings with clients and project teams
- Designing low voltage and/or electrical systems
- Revit, AutoCAD and BIM (Building Information Modeling) software
The ideal candidate will also have:
- Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI)
- American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification
- or related registrations or certifications.

Pay range depending on experience: $85,000 - $100,000
