Modine Manufacturing Company is hiring for a Manufacturing Engineer II to support production operations and engineering initiatives in our plant in Joplin, Missouri! This position is perfect for a recent graduate with slight experience looking to build their toolbox of engineering skills. Our Joplin plant is fitted with the latest manufacturing and production technology that our new Manufacturing Engineer will be able to work with daily.
This position's hours typically fall between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, and the role is fully onsite at our Joplin, MO plant. This position reports directly to the plant Manufacturing and Quality Engineering Manager.
- Work directly with production management and maintenance department to provide engineering service based on production needsReview scrap analysis and find ways to minimize scrap
- Work with shift transition teams to determine and address issues on production lines from previous shifts
- Work with core assembly equipment and other manufacturing machinery and provide support, maintenance, and improvement to products.
- Develop process improvement initiatives used to manufacture liquid cooling products.
- Manufacturing processes include: tube mill, stamping, vacuum brazing, robotic welding, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline
- 0-4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering in a manufacturing environment. Compensation will be based on experience and we are open to applicants at multiple levels of experience.
- Background with electronics as it relates to mechanical and manufacturing engineering required
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects
- Either educational or professional experience with CAD and 3D modeling packages
- Microsoft Office experience, particularly Excel
