Position Title: Production Helper - 3rd Shift

Wage: $16.00/hour

Shift: 3rd

Hours: 10:00pm - 6:00am

Production Helper Responsibilities:
- Assist Operator with setups and operations on Mazak and Mitsubishi CO2 lasers
- Use grinders and sanders to improve quality on parts
- De-nest laser cut parts and remove laser oxide from parts
- Cross-train across the Laser department
- Receive and store steel
- Operate forklift to handle materials
- Perform general housekeeping of department
- Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues
- Report and document basic material, production and quality control issues
- Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards

Requirements for Production Helper:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Able to bend, twist and lift up to 50lbs
- Basic understanding of computers
- Able to work collaboratively and productively in a team-environment
- Able to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures
- Good communication skills
- Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi-task
- Strong metal grinding, forming and basic fabrication background
- Basic dimensional measuring competence and ability to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools
- Demonstrated competency in basic shop math
