Summary

Work with the field to educate, train, and provide sales support on risk insurance. Primary interactions with the field will take place through inbound phone calls where financial representatives and/or staff will have questions on how products work or a case consultation to walk through a specific client situation. Additional field training takes place through outbound calls, field requested 1x1's, co-delivering webinars, supporting Home Office schools and possibility of travel to Network Offices. Guide and encourage the integration of investment products into their current sales processes. Integration is essential to the success of advisors and their clients.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of investment product design options through inbound calls, including product features and benefits, running illustrations and how to best use NM supported sales software.

  • Offer needs-based solutions and alternatives that are suitable for Financial Representatives and their clients.

  • Educate the field on competitive product landscape including the ability to compare and contrast competitor products.

  • Participate in proactive sales campaigns by making outbound calls to educate the field.

  • Co-deliver educational information to the field through in-house speaking events focused on fundamental product and planning topics.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal key business partners to drive field planning adoption.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field desired or a minimum of 1 year experience in a financial services environment focused on co-presenting, educating, and selling audiences on a variety of financial products.

  • FINRA Series 7 registration (to be obtained in 90 days of date of hire).

  • American College Designations desired but not required: CLU, ChFC, CASL, RICP, CFP etc.

  • Demonstration of working knowledge and understanding of financial services products, application, and the sales cycle.

  • Ability to demonstrate and apply sales consultation skills while asking relevant, open-ended questions to engage the caller, discuss needs and concerns and validate solutions based on those needs.

  • Basic understanding of investment products.

  • Positive, engaging, and resilient approach to tele-presales duties, and responsibilities.

  • Capability to quickly learn and navigate the various IT platforms required for optimal position performance.

This position has been classified as a Registered Representative under NMIS guidelines and requires fingerprinting.

Pay Range - Start:

$51,170.00

Pay Range - End:

$95,030.00

Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
