Position Description

We need a hands-on integration leader to help build our integration team and discipline in our corporate information technology function.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Strategy Development:

  • Design and Architect Integration Solutions: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and architect integration solutions that seamlessly connect various systems, applications, and data sources.
  • Define Integration Patterns: Develop and document a playbook of integration patterns, including point-to-point, hub-and-spoke, publish-and-subscribe, and event-driven architectures.

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Build and Lead a Team: Recruit, mentor, and lead a team (2-3) of Boomi integration analysts. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Hands-On Technical Leadership: As a hands-on manager, actively participate in integration development and troubleshooting.
  • Performance Management: Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide coaching and feedback to team members.

Project Execution and Delivery:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Create project plans, allocate resources, and manage project timelines. Ensure successful delivery of integration projects.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to integration projects. Address any roadblocks promptly.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and external partners.

Technical Expertise:

  • Boomi Expertise: Hands-on experience with the Boomi integration platform. Proficiency in designing and implementing Boomi processes, connectors, and APIs.
  • API Management: Define API governance and management strategies. Ensure security, scalability, and performance of APIs.
  • Data Transformation and Mapping: Understand data formats (XML, JSON, etc.) and perform data transformations using Boomi's capabilities.

Change Management and Adoption:

  • Change Enablement: Facilitate organizational change related to integration initiatives. Train end-users and promote adoption of new integration solutions.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation of integration processes, standards, and best practices.
Required Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business Administration is preferred or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of IT experience with 5+ years of experience in integration with Boomi with 1-3 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong understanding of Boomi platform capabilities and limitations
  • Strong understanding of integration patterns, API management, and best practices for system connectivity
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to lead technical design sessions and provide technical guidance to other team members
  • Ability to think critically, solve problems, make decisions and build trust across the organization
  • Understanding systems architecture and ability to design scalable performance-driven solutions
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (oral and written.)
  • Effective time management skills
  • Experience presenting to business stakeholders
