Position Description:
Open Postdoc Position in Cancer Biology/Tumor Immunology: Milwaukee A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Dev Karan, in the Department of Pathology conducting research on projects in the areas of molecular biology of cancer. Our laboratory has multiple exciting directions related to tumor immunology, immunotherapy, and molecular characterization of cancer cell biology with an emphasis to understand the therapeutic targeting of cancer. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and or M.D. in the areas of cancer biology, molecular/cell biology, or other related fields of biomedical sciences and should be self-motivated, able to design and conduct experiments, prepare and present their work at meetings, and write scientific manuscripts. Research specific skills include but are not limited to cell and molecular biology techniques, and immunological assays. Prior experience in the areas of tumor immunology/immunotherapy with live animals or experience in mouse models related to prostate and/or breast cancer is a plus. The applicant is required to conduct research activities lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as to train students/ technologists when necessary.
