Responsibilities:

• Deliver English language reading, writing, listening, and speaking interventions.
• Provide an inclusive environment for all learners.
• Assess, plan, resource and collaborate with class teachers to provide support to students.
• Teach and support students with their English language skills.
• Plan, prepare and deliver schemes of work in accordance with the EAL programs.
• Maintain high levels of behavior and discipline.
• Use modern technology to enhance learning opportunities.
• Work cooperatively with classroom and subject teachers to plan and deliver support to EAL and other students.
• Monitor and record students' learning to ensure they remain on track to achieve challenging targets.
• Maintain records of pupils' progress.
• Engage in admission process for prospective new students, conduct admissions interviews and support decision making for families joining the school.

Qualifications:

• A recognized EAL/ESL/TEOSOL qualification and experience teaching in a school setting.
• Working knowledge of EAL best practice and up-to-date teaching, learning & assessment methods.
• Understanding of EAL in the mainstream philosophy and desire to continue professional development in the field of EAL.
• Proficiency in using modern technology to enhance learning opportunities.
• Experience in maintaining records of pupils' progress.
• Experience in planning, preparing, and delivering schemes of work in accordance with EAL programs.
