Our Summer Internship Program provides students with hands-on engineering and semiconductor industry experience. We offer incredible learning opportunities by allowing our interns to contribute to meaningful projects.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
SMT Process Stabilization and Quality Improvement
  • Work with engineering team to establish industry accepted quality procedures.
  • Implement Oracle connection to component inventory stocker system to automatically track components consumed.
  • Create automated upload of board CAD data to SMT folder for use in file conversion.
  • Develop bar code scanner system for SMT tools to work with Promis.
  • Create checklist for SMT programming and operation. Work on work instructions.
  • Assist with ramp of SPC monitoring for all SMT/electrical engineering charts.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Preferred major(s): Pursuit of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering degree.
Preferred level of education: Bachelors (year 4) or Masters.
Preferred coursework completed or skills already possessed: SMT, CAD, SPC, Visual Basic.
The pay range for this role in Carlsbad, CA is between $23.00 and $27.50. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
