Position Highlights: Research Associate-ORN
  • Position: Research Associate
  • Location: Evanston, IL
  • Full Time: Mon-Fri, Onsite

A Brief Overview:The Research Associate position in the Outcomes Research Network (ORN) is focused on facilitation of the Research Development process. The primary responsibility for this position is to support the ORN Director and other outcomes research investigators in expanding clinical and population research and research scholarship across the healthcare enterprise. The on-site position is based in Evanston, IL. This is a full-time position and is benefits eligible. Hours will be scheduled Monday through Friday.What you will do:
  • Assisting with literature reviews and grant development, manuscript preparation and publication;
  • facilitating research compliance through preparation of human subjects regulatory review submissions -supporting research scholarship via research design and development contributions, preparation of
  • progress reports to granting agencies
  • providing basic research database development and analytic assistance.

What you will need:
  • Education: Master's Degree required, preferably in Public Health, Clinical Research, or Research Methodology
  • Experience: Knowledge of research methodology and grant writing
  • Coordinating grant submissions to various external funding agencies, such as NIH
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and adaptable to change
  • Attention to detail and responsiveness to deadlines
  • Excellent writing skills and proven ability to write content for grant proposals
  • Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with a variety of staff, faculty, researchers, and business contacts
  • Word processing skills and familiarity with Windows-based software, MS Office Suite, EndNote, research databases, and basic statistical software
  • Familiarity with current medical and scientific research in areas of chronic disease and population Health
  • Must be experienced and willing to assist with preparation and submission of scientific manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications
