Job Description

As the Warehouse Training Specialist, you will facilitate and provide training for new employees at distribution centers and warehouses. In this role, you will provide on-the-job training, mentorship, and support for new employees. You may also assist with formal training practices, including classroom teaching and support.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Serve as training support for distribution center employees. Monitor and track training to ensure employees meet onboarding milestones.
  • Provide warehouse and on-the-job training for all employees of a distribution center or warehouse, ranging from clerk to receiver to driver.
  • Travel to all distribution centers and possibly surrounding branches to provide training.
  • Provide mentorship to employees to ensure they receive all necessary and desired training. Identify high-potential new employees during training.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to ensure training and Crescent Electric Training Guide (CETG) content is accurate and up to date.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates Degree in Operations, Training, or field related to the job duties; or 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of Associates Degree.
  • 1+ year of experience working in a warehouse/distribution center environment.
  • 6+ months of experience working in a training and/or lead capacity.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of workplace safety practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Apply excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively present training to all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and achieve results without direct leadership responsibility.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully communicate information to people with varying levels of technical understanding.
  • Ability and willingness to provide current, direct, and constructive feedback, and take action to resolve issues, as needed.
  • Proficient in computer programs such as Zoom, and Microsoft Office Programs Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability and means to travel up to 75% of the time, with overnight stays.
