Job Summary: Provide product drawings, illustrations, and specifications for custom and standard signage products.

Primary Duties:

  • Create custom illustrations and drawings for SignScape
  • Work directly with sales to create customer-facing product drawings and sign renderings for pre-production
  • Assist in product design and part verification
  • Verify that product designs are within our manufacturing capabilities
  • Ensure that drawing and specifications are accurate
  • Stay current with illustration software and design tool

Job Specifications:

  • Working knowledge of Illustrator, CAD, Solidworks, or Corel
  • Basic typography knowledge and experience.
  • The ability to read and understand part drawings, tolerances
  • Complete understanding of manufacturing capabilities following training
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow through on completion
  • Communicate effectively both internally and externally
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines

Education:

  • Minimum 2 years of technical college and 5 years of product design experience

Office Equipment Software:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office utilizing Word, Excel.
  • Experience with Illustrator, Corel, CAD, Solidworks or other illustration software

Job Relationship:

  • Reports directly to Plant Manager of Signscape Division
  • Works closely with manufacturing and sales departments

    Authority:

    • Update and maintain drawings and bills of materials
    • Complete custom illustrations and drawings for Signscape
